Founded in 2005, as a full-time venture in 2006 and through incorporation in 2007, The Logsdon Group business plan was to provide traditional consulting services to are governmental organizations.
Shortly after, Diane Logsdon determined that the one-off, project based consulting was not consistent with the emergency management field and the "phases" of disaster which consider mitigation, preparedness, response, and recovery. Or the all-important need to conduct improvement planning in relation to all phases and concepts. Conducting a planning process without training and improvement, or an exercise without improving associated plans was only completing a small portion of the intent. So, The Logsdon Group added inclusive and ongoing (or subscription) support. And it has been so successful that the first community to subscribe in 2014 is still a subscribing community today!
Some communities have subscribed for shorter times. But all have experienced a more full and comprehensive program than before. And the ongoing relationship allows Diane and the TLG team to have ongoing knowledge of the community needs.
While most of our communities are subscribers, we occasionally provide project based services to communities. Any of our comprehensive emergency management program elements can be provided as a stand-alone support - planning, training, exercise, program improvement, compliance, etc.
And any community can move within all of the service offerings as needed based on trends and requirements as they change.
The key to working with TLG is flexibility and adaptability. After all, a resilient community can respond and recover readily. By applying how you currently do business to the emergency management model, you can immediately improve your organizational resilience!
